IMPORTANT NOTICE:

The Police Department would like to advise all residents of a fraud attempt. One of our citizens was contacted by telephone and the caller claimed the Federal Government owed the resident several thousand dollars. The caller then asked for bank account information. This is currently under investigation and it appears to be fraud. If you receive a similar type of call, DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to the caller. Attempt to get a name and phone number, then contact the Police Department.

The Vinita Park Police Department serves the City of Vinita Park, one of ninety municipalities in St. Louis County, Missouri. We are located in Northwest County, approximately 2 miles from the St. Louis City limit.

Our staff is currently comprised of a chief, one lieutenant, one detective, two sergeants, one corporal, one police clerk, and eight patrol officers serving a population of approximately 2000, with a daytime population of over 10,000.


In the event of power outage, the Police Department will check on all older residents. If you are not on our list, please contact Police Clerk Weimer. In the event of phone outage, please be sure to stop a police car on patrol or come by the station if you require assistance.


Please welcome the latest addition to the Vinita Park family, Officer Brian Peck, who was recently sworn in by Mayor Bira.

 

The Mission of the Vinita Park Police Department is to deter crime and apprehend criminals; maintain strong police-community relations and to continually enhance the training and expertise of each member of the police department.
